Jay Z Buys ‘Ace of Spades’ Company

Jay Z Buys Ace of Spades Company

Mogul rapper Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter reportedly bought an interest in the New York-based wine and liquor company, Armand de Brignac or Ace of Spades as it is popularly known in the Hip Hop world.
The champagne line owned by Sovereign Brand has been a favorite of the rapper, who’s promoted it for roughly eight years now since his ‘Show Me What You Got’ music video. The drink dons a metallic bottle with a pewter insignia of an Ace of Spades logo, rather than a paper label, on the body. The bottle is hand-crafted at the Cattier family’s 251-year-old chateau in Chigny-les-Roses, France and retails for $250

Jay Z Buys Ace of Spades Company

Jay Z has leveraged his celebrity to become a formidable American entrepreneur; from owning a sports bar, a restaurant, a talent agency and formerly, the now-Brooklyn Nets, for which he was derided for owning less than one percent stake in. Adding a champagne company to the list, I hope this isn’t another smoke and mirrors where he’s only a hype man whose cumulative stock is his face.
Sovereign, while keeping mum on the amount it was acquired for or Jay Z’s exact financial consideration, released this official statement;
“We are proud to announce that a New York-based wine & spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in Armand de Brignac (“Ace of Spades”) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally-renowned Shawn ‘JAY Z’ Carter.”
Jay Z’s spokesperson, Jana Fleischmann, could not be reached for comment.
