Millie Mackintosh’s no-carb diet revealed by hubby Professor Green as she says she's “not fussed” about her weight
Millie Mackintosh insisted that she isn't bothered about her weight as she stars on the cover of the latest Women’s Health issue, but her husband Professor Green has now revealed that she wasn’t “much fun” when she cut carbs out of her diet ahead of her big shoot.
The former Made In Chelsea star, who is known for her regular posts on Instagram about her healthy eating or gym routines, told the magazine that she doesn’t bother calorie counting or weighing herself as she doesn’t care – her main drive is to get stronger.
Hubby Pro praised her Women’s Health shoot, and captioned the Instagram post: “You might not have been that fun while you weren't eating carbs but my wife, I salute you! you worked so hard for this @camillamackintosh".
She said: "They're commenting on my thigh gap and they accuse me of promoting it. But that's how my legs have looked since I was a child, that is my body.
"Thin-shaming is just as bad as fat-shaming. Women especially should be kinder to other women's bodies. I don't cry myself to sleep about it, but I don't want people to think that's some kind of body ideal I'm putting out there."
Although Millie has always been slim, she was inspired to take better care of herself and improve her diet after taking part on the E4 reality TV series.
She said of her decision to start hitting the gym: "I think it was the pressure of being on TV. [At that time] I was eating takeaways a lot - I love rich food; I've never been one for a salad.
"I'd have a full English for breakfast, pasta for lunch and a Chinese takeaway for dinner. I never got much bigger, but I didn't have much of a waist. I had love handles."
